Overflow Communities Kenya delivers structured, evidence-informed psychosocial support designed to promote the emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing of children and young people.
Through our community-based centres, we provide safe, inclusive, and developmentally responsive environments where participants are supported to express emotions, process lived experiences, and strengthen adaptive functioning.
Our programmes are facilitated by qualified counsellors and therapists who offer both individual counselling and structured group interventions, addressing trauma exposure, emotional distress, stress regulation, self-concept development, and interpersonal skills.
One-on-one sessions provide personalized support tailored to each child's unique needs. Our qualified counsellors create a confidential space where children can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and work through challenges at their own pace.
Structured group sessions foster peer support and social learning. Through guided activities and discussions, children develop interpersonal skills, learn from shared experiences, and build a supportive community with others facing similar challenges.
Using age-appropriate and culturally responsive approaches, we help children develop emotional literacy, healthy coping strategies, resilience, and a positive sense of identity through consistent therapeutic engagement.
Through consistent therapeutic engagement and relational support, participants are empowered to navigate life challenges, enhance psychosocial wellbeing, and grow into emotionally healthy, socially grounded, and resilient individuals. 85% of participants report improved emotional regulation and positive behavioral changes.
Every child deserves access to quality mental health support. Your contribution—whether through donations, volunteering, or advocacy—helps us provide safe spaces and professional care that transform young lives. Together, we can build a mentally healthier generation.
